Opening your new Velocity checking account is quick and easy. Just follow these four simple steps:

Step 1:
Complete the Membership Application form to open your new Velocity account and mail it to Velocity Credit Union, c/o Personal Finance Center, PO Box 1089, Austin, TX 78767-1089, drop it off at any branch, or, fax it to 512.469.7024.

Step 2:
Fill out the Account Closure form to close your existing bank account and submit it to your financial institution.

Step 3:
If you have direct deposit set up with your current financial institution, fill out the Change of Direct Deposit form and turn it in to your employer to have your direct deposit sent to your new Velocity account.

Step 4:
Once your checking account is established at Velocity, you’ll need to forward the Change of Automatic Payment (draft) form to all the companies that are automatically drafting your old checking account for mortgage, auto, insurance, etc. payments. You can use as many of these forms as necessary.

On each of these forms, please double check that all the information is correct and that they’ve been signed and dated.
